A series of illustrations created on commission for Gallerie Kolektiv 318, located in Le Corbusier's Unité d’Habitation in Marseille. Each piece is an original, artistic interpretation inspired by an iconic design object: Alvar Aalto’s Savoy Vase, the Gras Lamp, and the Thonet Chair. The works are not a direct reproductions, but a personal reinterpretation of these design classics. In the Thonet Chair illustration, the background features an interpretation of one of Le Corbusier’s murals. The works are inspired by design objects deeply tied to le Corbusier’s identity: the Lampe Gras (a symbol of engineering functionalism, which Corbusier was a big fan of and used in his studio), the Thonet Chair (the first piece of mass-produced furniture) and the Savoy Vase by Alvar Aalto (an organic counterpoint to the rawness of Le Corbusier's architecture).
